Description

Meditation brings a deeper state of awareness and presence into your everyday life.

The meditation techniques taught are straight-forward and simple, yet deeply transformative and effective. Meditation is on the breath, and inner body awareness.

Many people have come across the word "mindfulness" in recent years, and that is exactly what it is all about: bringing the mind out of the past and the future....and completely into the present.

This has great health benefits for those who suffer from stress, anxiety, depression.

Studies at Harvard University show that people also see improvements in their physical condition through meditation: better sleep, reduced blood pressure, reduced fatigue, better digestion, and increased fertility rates, and reproductive health, to name just a few.

It has also been scientifically proven that those with cancer and more life threatening illnesses find physical, emotional, and mental relief through meditation.

Meditation helps us all deal better with physical tension, and our emotions. It gives us clarity of mind, and a deeper sense of contentment with everyday life.

For those who wish to go deeper, meditation at its very essence is a path of self-enquiry into the truth of who you really are. When you cease to be controlled by your mind, your emotions and reactions....you realise you are not the mind. This is the path known to many as self realisation.

During meditation retreats, instructions are given on how to meditate. There is opportunity for discussion, and questions.

At other times, participants are asked to conduct the retreat in silence for their own benefit.

There are periods of sitting meditation, and some walking meditation.

These retreats aim to assist you in developing your own daily practice. All people are catered for from BEGINNERS to ADVANCED. Meditation is practised seated on the floor with support of zafu cushions, or in a chair.
