Description

This 10 week course is designed to help you rebalance your body after pregnancy, regain strength and flexibility and to deepen the existing bond you have with your baby in a relaxing environment and to provide you with an opportunity for you to meet other new Mums.

Each class will cover postures for both you and/or your baby.  The intention of this course is to focus on Yoga postures with an emphasis on strengthening your abdomen, pelvic floor and spinal column to relieve tension and tightness from the body that may have been experienced during pregnancy/labour.

We will also go through postures for your baby that increase digestive function, reduce colic and to activate the babies nervous system in order to support your baby to relax.  All of the classes include pranayama practices (breathing techniques), yoga nidra, (relaxation) guided visualisation and meditation.

This course will also give you the confidence to continue to work with Yoga practices that you have learnt in your own home and in your own time as and when you and your baby require them.  There is no expectation for your baby to "behave" in a certain way during the course and if you need to feed or change your baby during the class, you are more than welcome to do so whenever you need to!

All you need to bring is yourself and your baby, a bottle of water and whatever you need to make you and your baby comfortable.  We provide yoga mats, blankets and eye bags however if you have your own Yoga mat please feel free to bring it with you.

This course is suitable for babies aged from 8 weeks to 9 months (or pre-crawling).  Please ensure that your Health Care Practitioner has provided you with consent to begin exercising again post natally.

11am until 12pm for 10 weeks (not running Melbourne Cup)
