Description

Enrich -or kick-start - your yoga practice by establishing a solid understanding of the foundations of yoga.

This

course introduces the core techniques of a well-rounded yoga practice

suited for any age or experience. You will explore the principles of

postures, breathing and philosophy of yoga in a safe and fun environment

with an experienced teacher as well as learn to adapt the practice to

suit your individual needs. Feel confident in class by learning healthy

habits and foundations for lifelong enjoyment of Yoga.

Each week will build on the previous week to build a coherent and

nourishing experience of how yoga can help anyone to find balance in a

busy world.

COURSE 1 over 4 Weeks

Week 1: Sun Salutations (Suryanamaskar) and the Ujjayi Breath

Focus: Ahimsa (non-violence)

Week 2: Standing Postures and Grounding Through the Feet

Focus: Satya (truthfulness) and Swadhyaya (self study)

Week 3: Balancing and Drishti Gazing

Focus: Aparigraha (non-possessiveness)

Week 4: YUJ, Union, Connecting the Practice, Review

Focus: Ishwarpranidhana (surrender to divine energy)
