Description

Our beginners course is designed specifically to introduce you to the many health benefits of yoga, relaxation and meditation. The course is designed so you will understand and experience many yoga practices that help enhance general health, wellbeing and happiness. During the course we will explore:
  • The foundations of a safe and effective yoga practice
  • Postures that will help release tension and tightness from the body
  • Postures that will improve your  core strenght and energy levels
  • Relaxation techniques to reduce feelings of stress and over work
  • Meditations to calm, centre and relax the mind
  • Breathing and postures that improve sleep, digestive and circulation functions
  • Introduction into the theory & philosophy of yoga
  • As part of the course you will also recieve:
  • A guided relaxation practice on audio (to practice at home)
  • A guided beginners yoga sequence on PDF (to practice at home)

To participate in this workshop you should be able to easily stand from a sitting position and not suffer from debilitating back pain. Otherwise the Therapeutic yoga: Managing back, neck & joint pain course would be more appropriate.
