We invite you to become an internationally certified yoga teacher. This 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program exceeds Yoga Alliance standards and so you can register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-200 level after completion of the course.

This course will be hosted at the Mystical Yoga Farm in Guatemala on Lake Atitlan.

1) Please go to our YouTube Page: http://www.youtube.com/user/SchoolYogaInstitute and submit your video application where it says “What is your idea?“. You must be signed into YouTube/Gmail to submit your video.

2) You also need to submit this form.

Video Application Criteria

• 250 characters of text to introduce yourself.
• Less than 3 minutes in length for the video
• Share about yourself, how you have found yoga, why your want to become a certified teacher, what you will do once you become a yoga teacher, why you think you should be selected for this program.
• Submit early to get the most votes (last day to apply is November 15, 2011)

Selection Process

VIDEO APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED: April 1-November 15, 2011.

We will have online voting where anyone can vote for the applicants they think should be accepted into the program. Only the top 30 Finalists with the most votes will move on to the next round of selection by SchoolYoga Institute.

ONLINE VOTING: April 1- November 30.

The top 30 Finalists will then submit a short paper application to SchoolYoga Institute.
SchoolYoga Institute will select the 15 participants from the top 30 based on the following criteria:

• Demonstration of financial need
• Dedication to the spiritual path
• Dedication to serving others
• Plans after becoming a Certified Yoga Teacher

Other details

Program dates: April 1-21, 2012
Tuition is free for 15 participants who will be selected through the process described above.
Travel, accommodations, and food are not included in the Free Tuition and participants will need to find a way to cover the cost of these expenses. SchoolYoga Institute is seeking sponsors to help some or all of the participants with these expenses.
Each participant in the training will be required to make a 3 minute video at the end of the training to share about their experience. They will also be required to make a 3 minute video 1 year after the program to share about how they are integrating what they have learned into their lives.
