Now in Korea for Anthony's wedding. A huge change from Israel and India. Shopping and
Kim Chee Everywhere. Seoul is huge, more then 10 million people, but seems to be quite harmonious. All can be represented in there flag Which has many symbols of their general world view. The Center piece, the yin yang symbol which represents the balance of male and female, with the four hexagrams in the four corners. Top left being the most Yang, three unbroken lines which

represents: heaven (
天), spring (
春), east (
東), virtue (
仁); The bottom right being three broken lines representing: earth (
地), summer (
夏), west (
西), justice (
義); The top right being a broken line, unbroken, and broken representing: moon (
月), winter (
冬), north (
北), knowledge or wisdom (
智) and the bottom left being unbroken, broken and unbroken is:sun (
日), fall (
秋), south (
南), courtesy (
禮). I find this meaning in the flag quite intriguing and really describes the culture.

We spent the day in Korea going to a traditional village where we were fortunate enough to witness a dancing and drumming performance that left us buzzing. At the end of the show, the performers allowed us to join in with them and keep the beat. We were all buzzing at the end of that!
